Looking at your scant picture of the speakers it looks like it might be a Altec Lansing VS Show 3 more comments. Let me see if I can find anything on this connector.
I am convinced that your speakers are not meant forV The subwoofer most likely transforms the voltage to the speakers. I am trying to find a way to convert one wire to be the plug wall plug V input power source and one wire to convert to a 3. What type of connectors are these? I don't think they are RCA. I imagine I am simplifying this way too much but I thought I could learn a little something about how these work if I ask on this site. I was thinking that maybe one cord could be rewired to be a plug for a wall outlet and the other wire could be rewired to be the audiojack like headphones. Maybe that won't work but I was wondering if there is a way. I was hoping to use these as regular computer speakers. Thanks for the response oldturkey I don't have a subwoofer. I am a high school teacher so my time to get projects like this done is very limited, but I will try to work on it a little at a time. I have not used a multimeter yet but I wanted to share these images in case this helps. Also, do not want to spend much money to make these work - I know this is a tricky balance. You are correct, it is the VS Still not sure if this is going to work but hoping to avoid throwing these speakers away. Thank you Oldturkey for your time and help. Here are more images as requested by Oldturkey. I would like to use them but the connects do not match anything on my computers.Īny ideas on how I can rewire these new connectors? And yes, this is why my screen name is "captaincranky", I say this so that you won't feel obligated to make post 4, by stating the patently obvious. For the benefit of all concerned, let's agree to consider that strike three. I'm sure you thought that remark about your sister was terribly clever, but in the process, you tacitly admitted she was smarter than you. Now run along, take your Ritalin, and save your little tirade for someone more inclined to put up with it. It was made to be disposable, that's why they glued it together in the first place. That should "facilitate", your "entry" into the spacious 6 cubic inch enclosure. The best thing to do with this 10 dollar plastic garbage, is set it on the floor, then smack it several times with a large hammer. My little sister could have told me that. The most general answer in the world! Thanks a lot buddy but There are no screws and I"m pretty sure it is glued, but I asked a question about a specific model, so if you don't have any information about that model why are you wasting everyone's time and confirming skepticisms that I had coming into this? I know I'm brand new on here, but This was just what I was expecting.
